KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Glenn Pursiful, age 83 of Knoxville, TN formerly of Harlan passed away February 20, 2014 at Brakebill Nursing Home.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Karns, TN. Glenn was born in Harlan, KY and was a district manager of Kentucky Utilities until his retirement. He was a member of the Harlan Baptist Church, Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club while living in Kentucky. His time after retirement was spent playing golf, which he truly enjoyed. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and his friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arnett and Bessie Walker Pursiful; brother, Clark Pursiful.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue Pursiful; son, Brent Pursiful and wife Karen; daughter, Carol Rouse and husband Mike; brother, Wallace Pursiful and wife Mary Rose; sister In-law: Rinda Williams; Aunt: Mable White; grandchildren: Ashley Cain and husband Alan, Jason Pursiful and wife Misty, Matthew Rouse and wife Gina, Kelly McDaniel and husband Eddie; Great grandchildren: Mason and Noah Cain, Knox Pursiful, Carlie and Lydia Rouse
The family will receive friends Monday, February 24th from 11AM-1PM at Harlan Baptist Church in Harlan, Ky.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the Harlan Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

I just heard that Glenn has passed away. My mother Marie Howard worked at KU for many years with Glenn as her boss. She always held him in high regard. I remember going down to KU after school to see mother and Glenn was always very friendly and kind to me.
