KENVIR — Patsy Short King, 58, of Kenvir, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Born December 1, 1957 in Harlan County, she had lived here most of her life. Patsy was an attendance clerk for the Evarts Elementary School and a very active member of the Ages Free Pentecostal Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend Denver Short and Goldie Hampton Short; two brothers, Junior Short and the Reverend Wayne Short; and one sister, Lois Pace.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe King, Kenvir; two sons, Billy Joe King II and wife, Cristy, Ages; and Josh King and wife, Rebecca, Milwaukee, WI; two brothers, Curtis Short and wife, Bonnie, Cincinnati, OH; and Pete Short and wife, Sheila, Georgetown, KY; and five sisters, Phyllis Owens, Rose Hill, VA; Beverly Brewer, Black Joe, KY; Gay Francis Brett and husband, Frank, Cincinnati, OH; Brenda Hall and husband, Lacy, Cincinnati, OH; and Mary Collett and husband, Terry, West Harrison, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Gunner, Nathaniel, Aiden and Audrey King; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 1 pm at the Ages Free Pentecostal Church with the Reverend Jesse Kinder and the Reverend Jerry Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
