Reuben Davidson Obituary

CUMBERLAND — Reuben Davidson, age 86 of Cumberland, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, April 09, 2014, at the Harlan ARH Hospital. He was born October 27, 1927 in Cumberland to the late William and Rebecca Creech Davidson. Reuben was a deacon of the Central Baptist Church and had served his country in the US Marine Corps. Before retiring, he worked as a coal miner for approximately 40 years at US Steel and International Harvester.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Freddie Davidson; and two grandchildren, Robbie and Amanda Alexander.

His loved ones will forever cherish his memory, they are: his wife, Vanna Davidson; children, Pricilla (Larry) Gressler of Wisconsin, Kerry (Eva) Davidson of Texas, Eddie Davidson and friend, Donna, of Cumberland, and Pam (Gene) Roark of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home in Benham, KY on Friday, April 11, 2014, between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Chapel at 2 pm with the Reverend Dennis Williams officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
