Raymond Crone Obituary
Raymond was born Aug. 12, 1938 in Jasper, to Evie and Erma Crone.
Raymond was a retired pipefitter of the Plumbing and Pipefitters Local 178 of Springfield, Missouri, thereupon, he continued to have various hobbies such as welding, fishing, and gardening. He grew up on Smith Mountain, where he returned to settle down to build his own log cabin milling the wood from the trees. He was a member of The American Legion Post 1000, Tribe of Mic-o-Say, Masons and the Scottish Rite. In his younger days, he served in the US Army completing an extended tour to Germany. He was a history buff, as he always was
reading a book, and his stories were many of his childhood growing up barefoot in a one room cabin, his travels across the United States, and of his adventures with friends and family.
Raymond moved to John Knox Village over a year ago to be closer to family where he made new friends and began his love for knife building.

Survivors: Clyde(Lee) Crone (brother) of Germany, Michael Crone(son) and Lorie (wife) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Craig Fuller(stepson) and Becky(wife) of Aurora, Missouri, Richard Fuller (stepson) and Terry (wife) of Springfield, Missouri, Kristy Laurie (granddaughter) and Kelly (husband) of Springfield, Missouri, Shelly Whitaker (granddaughter) and Chad (husband) of California, Tammi Arroya (granddaughter) and Reza (husband) of Wisconsin, Derek Allison (grandson) of Independence, Missouri, Megan Crone (granddaughter) of Blue Springs, Missouri, Hannah Crone (granddaughter) of Lee's Summit, Missouri,Christian Crone (grandson) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and numerous great grandchildren.
