Zane Curtis Yacks, age 19, of Harrison, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 2 (2022).
He was born on Nov. 15, 2002, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to McLane and Diana (Bowen) Yacks.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Yacks.
Zane enjoyed playing football, soccer, basketball and many other sports. He was an avid outdoors person who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing video games, board games, and was a larger-than-life kind of person. He will be known as a hard worker. He loved the Lord with all his heart.
Zane is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Grammy Linda Yacks, Bud and Sherry Bowen, of Windsor, Colorado, Richard and Victoria Garrett, of Muscatine, Iowa, and Cheri and Kevin Kuper, of Fort Morgan, Colorado; his sisters and brothers-in-law, McKae and Sidney Applegarth, of Harrison, Monika and Blake Helms, of Fairfax, Iowa, and Gracee Yacks, of Harrison; and his fiancée, Jillian Crow, of Harrison.
Zane is also survived by his best friend, Cody Jones, of Harrison; his aunts and uncles, Nicole and Bradley Heisler, of Parker, Colorado, Laura Rodriguez, of Pueblo, Colorado, and Joey Hogan, of Pueblo, Colorado; four cousins, Parker Heisler, of Parker, Colorado, Bella Heisler, of Parker, Colorado, Keylan Rodriguez, of Pueblo, Colorado, and Keyani Hogan, of Pueblo, Colorado; and a host of other family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Crossroads Community Church, with Pastor John Walters officiating. The family requests that guests who come to the Celebration of Life dress comfy casual.
