I worked with Ada for 13 years at State Office of Protection and Advocacy. Yes, she was compassionate and warm and sweet and insightful and always motivated by kindness, but she could also be wry and ironic and, with not even a hint of meanness, humorously satirical. That lack of meanness was always so striking. Ada lived generously, sustained by her faith and her abiding appreciation for others. Her warmth, toward both colleagues and community members, was enveloping. The world will be a chillier place without her.

Ada was one of the most kind and generous people I have had the privilege to know. I had the honor to work with her for almost 20 years, and I treasured her commitment to her community and to those she served. She will be sorely missed.

I met Ada when she came to the Office of Protection and Advocacy as a student intern, and was immediately impressed by her warmth, friendly caring interactions with everyone she came in contact with, and her sincere desire to help others. Her work at Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities involved a large amount of community outreach , and helping to build alliances ... she was extremely well liked and respected .. a truly good person who attracted all with her beautiful smile and spirit..
My deepest sympathy to Ada’s family and friends for your loss..
