Adam Riendeau Obituary

Adam Michael Riendeau, 28, of Ellington, CT died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home. Born in Manchester, CT he was the son of Brian D. and Lisa Marie (Zimkiewicz) Riendeau of Tolland, CT. He was the owner of Enchanted Ecosystems and also worked as a manager of Action Water Gardens. Adam was an aquatic wildlife enthusiast and would spend countless hours developing and maintaining aquariums and terrariums, which he personally customized for those who admired his work. Adam was family oriented and enjoyed traveling to Florida, being able to spend time with his younger brother Matthew. Adam recently expressed his interest in moving to Florida and following Matthew's footsteps in becoming a Hillsborough County Deputy Sheriff. He had a big heart for animals, especially for his beloved four-legged friend Bella, whom he rescued from a shelter in New York. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Matthew and his girlfriend Kelsey-Lynn of Riverview, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at 10:30 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in South Cemetery, Tolland. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. For online condolences please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com.

My name is Stephen. I worked for the Duksa Family in Newington, where I met Adam. He was a very kind and compassionate individual and I knew right away, he was special.
I always enjoyed speaking with him about his work experiences and I hoped that one day we would possibly become good friends. I sang for the families in the chapels and cemeteries. This for me, was a very heartfelt ministry that was life-giving and a blessing in my life. I often, to this day, think about Adam and what he shared and gave in his line of work to others. I miss his smile and considered him to be a friend. God bless all of his family and friends. His memory will live on in many hearts and lives that he touched.

I met Adam some years ago, when he assisted us in resetting the salt water tank at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home. He was always so pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable of fish, plant life and anything to do with aquariums. I admired his work and willingness to provide excellent professional service consistently. May Adam know eternal peace and that he was loved so much by his work associates, family and friends.
