Dearest Adam,
Somedays are good, some are hard and some are harder. Not sure when this gets eaiser or when I can accept the fact that this is reality. I think of you often and I hope you know that. You are truly missed. No length of time will change that. I know your watching over your friends and family. I appreciate the way you show me your still here and keep me strong.

It seems like everyday I think about you or something reminds me of you. Such great times we had; playing pool, H.O.R.S.E (you always made that one handed shot with your foot touching the steps), going to the Hoyts theatre, fishing, etc. Please look over all of us, and never forget UNITED. I miss you so much! I am always thinking of you. I can't believe it been 5 years. Its seems like just yesterday that we were in school together and making plans on what to do after school. I miss our fun times together but I cherish them as well. You are an amazing friend and to this day I have not found a friend as great as you! I love you and I will ever forget you.

Being at home this weekend and today has brought back a lot of memories of times we shared. And with this fall weather, I can't help but think of all the good times we had with United and Bennet soccer. Don't ever think that I forgot about that play you made during the State Cup. I only met Adam once, and at that time his eyes danced with light, if only for a moment. I feel that I know him through you. As parents you are exceptional. Adam knew that. As caregivers you were constant, 24/7, with unconditional love and unlimited energy. Who cares for the caregivers? In one of these notes, I noted on 11/4/02 there is a note from Scott Francis (your friend, and my nephew), another one who cared. Again here was a young man to whom you provided care and support. Who cares for the caregivers? As you know, Scott died from Cancer on 10/4/03. So now we ask who cares for the caregivers? We now have 2 of the best. Adam and Scott caring in heaven for us eternally. We shall listen to them.

I didn't know Adam at all,but I know how the family feels. In my town, we lost three teenagers in a week, and it hurts the community as a whole. All three were wonderful people just as Adam was. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting your son through my boyfriend Leonard Sykes. I didn't get to spend as much time with Adam as I would have liked but the amount of time I did get to spend with your son or the way Leonard talked about him gave me the chance to know how bright, sweet, and genuine he was. Adam was truely a joy in my class. He had such a quiet and gentle way that few possess. I can still see his shy smile at a joke or something funny that may have happened in class.
