Agnes Arey Obituary
Agnes Y. Arey, 98, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2017. Throughout her life, Agnes was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. Born in Hartford, CT to the late Harry P. Yorgensen and Ellen K. Yorgensen. She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon B. Arey and is survived by her children Calvin, Loren, Eileen and her husband Mohan Ramakrishnan, Brian and his wife Jenny, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a special niece Vicki Ekstrom. She also leaves behind her sister Doris Burke, brother Harry Yorgensen and many nieces and nephews. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 10 a.m. At St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT.

I am so sad to hear about the passing of my Grandma Agnes. I remember going to her house after school for milk and cookies. I remember her always making my birthdays special with a card full of money. She was always a bright light of love in my life! I wish I could have said goodbye. My condolences to my family, especially to my uncle Bryan.
