Alexander Dobrynin

Alexander Dobrynin was born in Uralsk, Kazakhstan, on September 13, 1961, to Evdokia Kiseleva and Pavel Dobrynin. He earned his engineering degree in St. Petersburg, Russia, and worked as a navigational equipment lead engineer servicing Soviet Navy submarines. Alexander married his high school sweetheart, Maya Kalika, and together they moved to Kiev, Ukraine, where their three children were born. In 1995, the family immigrated to the US and settled in West Hartford, Connecticut. Alexander was grateful and proud to be an American, and instilled this appreciation in his children. Alexander enjoyed the simple things in life. Family was always his top priority. He took frequent trips to The Home Depot and was always with a tool in hand, spending most evenings working on one home project or another. He leaves his family with a beautiful West Hartford home, having designed and crafted almost every inch himself. For the last 22 years, Alexander worked at P/A Industries, where he was a dedicated and highly regarded electrical engineer. In the words of his coworkers: "… [Alex was] an outstanding engineer and a loving family man. Alex was meticulous with his work here at P/A. He strived for perfection in everything that he touched and took pride in his finished products… [Alex's] creativity will live on in our products for years to come." Alexander will be sorely missed by his wife, Maya; children, Paul, Masha and David; son in law, Jonathan; and two grandchildren, Alma and Benjamin.
