NOYES, Alice C. Alice C. Noyes, 87, of Manchester, cherished wife for 67 years of Edward D. Noyes, passed away on Saturday, (December 17, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She also participated in an "Emergency On-Call Program" as a blood donor for premature babies affiliated with St. Francis Hospital. She was a faithful communicant of St. James Church in Manchester. Her favorite pastimes were tending her flower gardens, visiting with her family and friends at "The Lot" in Becket, MA and spoiling her faithful companion Tigger. One of her greatest accomplishments was surviving the trials and tribulations of successfully raising six children. Alice is survived by six children; Arthur Noyes and wife Anne of Atlantic, NC, Sally Benoit and husband Paul of East Hartford, Mary Noyes-Huffman and husband Richard, of Little River, SC, Susan Stevens and husband Lee of South Windsor, Jean Daugherty of Braintree, MA and Diane Nickerson of Wethersfield. Alice will be fondly remembered by her extended family and numerous close friends. One of her greatest joys was sitting in a rocking chair with a baby in her arms. Her family will be forever grateful for the watchful eyes of her guardian angels of Marcus, Maria, Deven, Maricel and Mya Foley. Special thanks to Dr. Rahman, Gloria, and all the nurses at the Cancer Center, as well as the nurses on "8-1" who treated her with compassion and dignity during her final hours.
