I worked with Al during the early 1970's. I served in Vietnam with the Marine Corps like Al,but we never talked about it. That's how it was. We were assigned to a plain clothes robbery detail one winter and caught the bad guys who were holding up package stores in the south end. There was a wild car chase and I found out that Al was a pretty good driver. Al was a good guy and a serious cop. May he rest in peace. Semper Fi Marine.

A very nice guy who was always positive. Never knew you were a Vietnam Veteran. He treated everyone the same; with respect and dignity. A very good cop!

To the Labbe Family,
I've heard of the loss of your loved one. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God's true thoughts are of peace for us, not pain. May reflection on his goodness comfort you.

A good and noble man who served his nation and the free world as a Marine in Viet Nam, and his community as a dedicated Hartford Police Officer. A tough man with a gentle heart. Rest in Peace.
