I met Amanda many years ago at Boucher School of Dance. She was a great role model to all of the younger dancers, and I loved watching her perform. Her sudden death is a tragedy. I pray that her family and loved ones find the strength to cope with their sudden loss. With deepest sympathy...

To all of Amanda's family and friends, I knew Amanda for a very short period of time (only a few weeks) in the hospital taking care of little baby Gianna. I am so thankful that she had her camera one day and I was able to get some beautiful shots of her, and the baby and her Godmother, I hope they bring you all peace to see that smile looking back at you, and for Gianna to have when she grows up and learns all about her mommy. From the 1st day I met her, I knew there was something very special about her. I am very saddened by your loss, and she touched all of us that she met and we will all be forever changed. I pray for all of you to find comfort in your wonderful memories of your Angel Amanda, and that little girl will help you get through somehow this unimaginable loss. "There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they are gone, the light remains." I wish I had a chance to get to know her better, she seemed like an amazing person, and she has certainly touched my heart.

To all of Amanda's family:
I don't really know any of you. I am the secretary that was on CCMC MS8 when Amanda came to us. When I first walked into the room that evening I could feel the love and support. I could tell right away that Amanda was an amazing woman even though I didn't know her. I used to check on Baby Gianna everyday after Amanda went out on pass. Amanda was always smiling even if she wasn't feeling well. I cannot begin to express how upset I was when I heard the news. My heart aches for all of you. Dan I know you will be an amazing father! Gianna is going to be a strong little girl she has proven that already. Amanda will always be with all of you. She was a beautiful young woman. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time in your lives.

To Every Person Whose Life was Touched by Amanda:

Today our Angel, Amanda, gains her wings. They are wings that she earned in so many ways throughout her short but beautiful life. Few people can say that they made such a positive impact on the world after a long and very full life; Amanda managed to do that in 26 short years. It was obvious as all waited in that long cold line yesterday that the atmosphere was charged with a mixture of reverence and sorrow; certainly the hushed voices and silent tears were testament to the fact that most of us still are unable to believe that she won't be amongst us any more.

Nothing can prepare a person for the loss of someone who brought so much joy to so many. When you were with Amanda, you felt like you were the center of her world.

And when you watched Amanda dance, you witnessed the soaring spirit of a young woman perched in pursuit of her dreams. I would watch her fairly 'float' across a stage, and always she left me breathless. And Georgiann, my most poignant memory of her is the first time I watched her perform "The Impossible Dream". I remember I grabbed your arm and I had tears streaming down my face; her performance was so pure and powerful, it tore at my heart. I think I was as proud of her as you; I certainly loved her as if she were one of my own children. Who knew that the very words in that song would mirror the last weeks of her life. And now, wishing she were still here, has become our "Impossible Dream", and we must forge ahead without her.

It is hard to ask all of you to try to find comfort in knowing that Amanda will always be with us, not just in our hearts, but in our minds. That she will be one of God's Angels, and surely she will look after all of us. For Amanda, I am sure she will relish her new role as Angel, and outperform all the others.

We all know what Amanda personally meant to each of us; perhaps the one thing we should try to take from this time of deep sorrow is that we can take a lesson from the pages of Amanda's short but important life's works: simple acts of human kindness, from a warm smile, to a touch of one's hand, can lift you from the darkest places in your heart.

What I learned from Amanda: all you REALLY need is love!

Thank you, my Sweet Angel Amanda, and may God hold you close, and bring comfort to everyone who loved you so.

To the Guerins,
I am so shocked and sincerely sorry to hear about Amanda. Though we may have lost touch over the years, I think of her often and this tragedy is simply overwhelming in so many ways. When I heard about Amanda's sudden death, it took me back to that VERY special time in my life when dance was all we lived for, all we wanted, and all we knew, I have nothing but happy memories of us champion-ing our way to the top. Though it has been so long, I will never forget the importance that we had in each other's life and the fun that we had together, as a team, as a studio, and as a crew. My deepest thoughts of sympathy...
