DAVIES, Andrew D., Sr.
Andrew D. Davies, Sr., of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Claudette for 50 years died on November 16, 2012 in Davenport, FL. Andrew was born in Kingston, England, on October 1, 1942 and was the son of the late Edna King and Alex Davies. Andrew moved to Suffield, CT when he was 9 years old and graduated from Suffield High School in 1962. Andrew worked as a mechanic at Mitchell's of Simsbury for 42 years. He was a long time member of the Windsor Locks Fire Department and a past member of the Knights of Columbus-Fourth Degree. Andrew is survived by his step father, Dan King of Suffield; his daughter, Wendy J. Stauffer and her husband, Robert and their children, Nicole, Taylor and Erica of Cheshire, CT; his son, Andrew D. Davies, Jr. and his wife Laura and their children Marie and A.J. of Enfield and his son Dan P. Davies and his wife Sarah and their children Cal and Ella of Harpswell, ME.
Donations in Andrew's memory may be made to Windsor Locks Volunteer Fire Department, 2 Volunteer Drive, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.

Very sorry to hear that Andy had passed away in Florida. While I did not see him very often after leaving Suffield, we did grow up together on East St. I do remember going on a double date with you, Andy, one of your girl friends and me way, way back when. I hope you both did get to enjoy some time in Florida. That's something I would like to do someday soon.

Andrew will surely be missed. I always considered him a good friend having worked and known him since I was a young teenager. His sense of humor always brought a bright spot to our day. I'm thankful to have known him.
