Andrew Demers Obituary

DEMERS, Andrew Paul Andrew Paul Demers, 79, beloved husband of Priscilla Therrien Demers, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died suddenly October 31, 2009 at East Cooper Regional Medical Center. Andrew was born in Fairfield, Vermont, son of the late Elie and Marie Rose Noel Demers. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army, and was a faithful member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. He worked for Pratt & Whitney, with 35 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla Therrien Demers and his cherished daughters; Diane and John Nolan, Elaine and John P Machnicki, Jr., Lisa and James Patrick, and Karen and Daniel Stafko. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Alyssa and Krista Nolan; John, Jessica, and Catherine Machnicki; David and Jefferey Patrick and Nicholas, Michael and Kimberly Stafko; two sisters, Helen Bourbeau and Pauline Renaud; and one brother, Marcel Demers. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Armand and Bernard Demers. Mr. Demer's Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 in All Saints Lutheran Church, 2107 N Hwy 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 10 a.m. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family requests that memorials be made to the "Building Fund" of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 3850 Bessemer Road, Suite 120, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
