With fond memories, I remember Angie, Merrill Dreyfus, and my mother, Joan Humphreville, as reform minded members of the Republican Town Committee back in the 50's. He was a kind man who was willing to take the time to explain NL politics to me and his nephew, Dickie O'Neill. I may have had to listen to some Holy Cross propaganda about Cousy and Heinsohn. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to read of Judge Santaniello's passing. He was an extraordinary man who truly cared. Whether life was going well or on those occasions when one had some difficult obstacles, he was an advocate for fairness and equality. He was justifiably proud of his family. His friends were many and his love knew no boundaries. May he rest in peace.

It was my privilege to work as his secretary for 18 years. He taught me a lot about people and life. He was an amazing man who had a deep understanding of human nature which made him a very talented mediator, but his greatest joy and love was his family. My condolences to the Santaniello family. I'm sorry Illness prevented my attendance, and my prayers are with you at this difficult time

Kay, Lisa, Gary and Maria,

My heart is heavy but I am smiling imagining Harvey's booming voice up in heaven saying something like "Ah, it's the honorable Angelo G. San-tan-YELLOW,about time you came by and joined me for a drink!"

Many memories of many shared times with our families over the years. From Christmas at your house to Passover at ours, and many many times in between, we shared so much together. I can still hear Harvey and Angie talking on the phone every single night, going for walks, solving the problems of the world with different political stripes but a shared respect for values, democracy and the power of compromise, and loyal to one another through thick and thin, no matter what came their way.

The world is a little less bright today with Angie's passing, but we are all so fortunate for having had him in our lives.

I wish I was in New London to honor him with you and celebrate a full life, fully led. Love, Cathy

Lord. We have all been blessed by this amazing human being. He said to me, SO many years ago.....get involved with the community, give service. Serve and give, make a difference.....these were some of the many things I learned from Angelo. He gave of himself every moment! This loving family man gave each moment to all of us. He was the truest example of giving and loving I have ever known. He lived by example. Which is the greatest gift he gave to all.

I am so sorry to hear of Judge Santaniello passing. I first met him way back in the early 60's when he was an attorney and I was 20 years old and had a fender bender after my brakes failed and I was being sued, to make a long story short he fixed the problem for me and kept me out of real trouble. I will always remember his kindness to me.

Holy Cross graduates are imbued with the concept or becoming "men and women for others". Justice Santaniello, a proud H.C. grad, lived this every day. Well done, your honor. RIP.

He was everything a New London boy could be. Smart educated and committed to his community and State. Also to his family and those who truly needed his artful compassion.
As a young lawyer he treated me with respect not because I had earned it but because he quietly demanded it. Every lawyer who was fortunate enough to appear before him could honestly say they received justice in a system that he largely was responsible for creating. Every time I walk into 70 Huntington Street try to remind myself that being a lawyer is a privilege and carries a burden- to be honest not to simply give in because it is personally convenient. The Justice left a legacy of other New London trained men and women who do justice to the system. There may never be another like him to grace the halls of justice . He was Italian never judged those less
fortunate because he knew where he came from . A life rich in self less service.
