SCHMITT, Anna M. Anna M. (Duly) Schmitt, 99, of New Britain, died Saturday night, (December 9, 2006) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Hlavati) Duly, she was a life long resident and wife of the late Frank Schmitt. She was a graduate of Smith Business School, a member of the American Hardware Girl's Club, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Slovak Catholic Sokol, the Donou Club and St. Francis of Assisi Church. Anna is survived by her grandson Craig and his wife Mary Schmitt of New Britain, her granddaughter Cheryl Schmitt of Newington, two great granddaughters Jennifer Camarata of California, Desiree Schmitt of Southington, her brother John Duly and His wife Jeannette, who was Anna's best friend; her daughter-in-law Mildred Schmitt of New Britain; three nieces Patty Favarra, Christine Briatina and Maureen Zukowski. She was predeceased by her son Dr. Frank Schmitt and her granddaughter Lynn Schmitt. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 10:30 a.m. from the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be TODAY from 4-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
