Lisa, I remember how kind your father was to your mother who was wheelchair bound at that time. We were only in 6 th grade, so quite the impression left on my mind. Although you were so fortunate to have your Dad for so long, it´s never easy to say goodbye to a parent. Thinking of your family and sending hugs, He has a reserved spot in heaven for sure

Dear Bobbie, Lisa, JR & Mark, like many Meriden residents, I too visited Alnic´s after Sunday mass at Mount Carmel Church every week. Little did I know I would marry into the family in the future. I remember Bill fondly both in Meriden and Florida for his cheerful, welcoming smile, always upbeat and joking. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. So many fond memories of Alnic's for myself and my grandmother. She didn't miss a weeknight there.
No matter how old we are, it´s never easy to lose a parent. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve.

Dear Lisa,
So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. When I was a kid Alnic's was one of our favorite haunts and Bill's disposition and patience with the "horde" that descended upon the place was a welcome counter to what we usually received when entering the shop with our pennies.
Haven't seen him in decades but will never forget his kindness and smile.
RIP, Bill.
With fond memories,
Ed Grady
Rest in peace...
