Anthony J. Tomaszewski Jr.

Anthony J. Tomaszewski, Jr., 54, of Church Street, died Sunday, (July 20, 2003) at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill, NY after suddenly being stricken while working on his farm. Mr. Tomaszewski was born August 15, 1948 in Middletown, the son of Anthony and Charlotte (Gayewski) Tomaszewski, Sr. He was a self employed produce farmer all his adult life, beginning in Orange County, NY in 1970, then moving to Schoharie County, NY in 1996. While living in this area, he was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Sharon Springs, NY. Prior to that, he was a member of the Warwick Reformed Church of Warwick, NY and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Holly Blacker of Sharon Springs, NY; two daughters, Madalyn and Olivia Tomaszewski, both of Sharon Springs, NY; and a son, Nicholas Tomaszewski of Sharon Springs, NY; four sisters, Frances Lichwick, Helen Plecan, and Maria Tomaszewski, all of New Hampton, NY, and Jean Labanowski of Goshen, NY; several brothers and sisters-in laws; and nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 25, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Washington Heights Cobleskill, NY with Father John Roos as celebrant. Calling hours will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY. Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery.
