Antoinette Dupont and her family were neighbors of mine when I was growing up in New London. She encouraged my interest in the law as the only role model I saw for a successful woman attorney. She provided recommendation letters, asked me to dinner at her home, and encouraged me all the while. I went on to graduate from law school and work as a lawyer for 38 years. She was a star in my life, and I'll be forever grateful.
