Audrey Joyce Gegetskas

Audrey Joyce Gegetskas, 81, of Windsor, beloved wife for 62 years of Richard Gegetskas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her home. Born in Hartford on August 6, 1941, daughter of the late Addison Lewis and Jean (Robinson) Lanphear, she was a lifelong resident of Windsor and a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1959. After high school, Audrey married Richard Gegetskas on June 25, 1960 and the young couple started a family. Audrey loved her family and took great pride in being a stay-at-home mother, raising her son and two daughters. Audrey was an active member of the Granby Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed her ministry and helping others and was devoted to field ministry and sharing the Bible with others. After raising her children, Audrey took a position at Siegel Chiropractic in Farmington. She loved her job and enjoyed working with the other staff members that she cared for like family. Besides her loving husband, she leaves three children, Donna Tomasko and her husband Richard of Windsor, Wendy Kulig and her husband William of East Granby, and Richard Gegetskas, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Amherst, MA; two sisters, Susan Maloney and her husband John of Southwick, MA and Lois Lanphear of East Granby; and a niece, Deborah O'Connell of Windsor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Jean O'Connell. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m., at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor. Burial will be private.
