The Russell Family extends deep condolences to you. Barbara was a great neighbor and friend to my daughter, Melanie. She took great care in making Melanie feel special. I can remember sharing things from the garden and recipes with her. She and Ken are a cherished part of our family's fond memories of Broad Brook.

It brought back many memories when I read about Barbara's death in today's Courant. I remember her and Ken and Mae and their wonderful family very well beginning with my days of working at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford and extending to many years after that. Be assured of my love, prayers and sympathy.
