OSTERHOUT, Barbara Jennings
Barbara Jennings Osterhout, born March 4, 1928, passed away after a courageous eight year battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Montgomery, NY, the daughter of Mary Ethel and Raymond Jennings. Attended Vermont Junior College. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Osterhout for 59 years, who previously passed. She is survived by her five children, Mike, Jeff, Rick, Ross, Susan Sojka and their spouses. She has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her family was her biggest treasure. A glass of wine and a beautiful sunset was all she asked. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Francis Hospital for their loving care and the McLean Home and staff for their kind and loving way that mom was taken care of.
Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Vincent Funeral Home of Simsbury is caring for the arrangements. Please visit Barbara's "Book of Memories" for online condolences at www.vincentfuneralhome.com

Mike, Jeff, Ross, Rick and Susie,
Condolences on the loss of your mom. Your mother and father brought fun and camraderie to a staid, old New England brokerage firm when they moved to Connecticut. Bobbie was the perfect hostess and always made a house full of people feel as though each one was part of your family. You must have many happy memories to treasure.
