Belva Forget Obituary



Belva (Wallace) Forget, 98, of Farmington, beloved by many, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Daughter of the late Henry and Mary Wallace, she was born and raised in Leon, Kentucky. For many years, Belva lived in Stamford, where she raised her family. She was employed by Electrolux Corp. for forty years and Bloomingdale's after her retirement. She was a kind and loving woman, with a great sense of humor, who was always happy to spend time with her family. She loved to cook and entertain her family and wait on them hand and foot. Belva is survived by two daughters, Mary Belle Langford and Roberta Beyer; four granddaughters, Kathleen Johnson (Scott) of Avon, Lisa Rowley (Patrick) of Hoover, AL, Margaret Jackson of Manchester, and L. Elizabeth Hansen (Bowe) of Blacksburg, VA; fourteen great grandchildren, Shawn Brady, Erin Anderson (Brian) of Coventry, Matthew Hein of Rochester, NY, Caitlin Periera (Steve) of Boston, MA, Eileen Doyle of Unionville, Allissa Hein of Noank, Meredith Shaw of Wellington, FL, Michael Doyle of Avon, Mary Rowley of Hoover, AL, Haley and Jenna Jackson of East Hampton, Bailey, Thomas, and William Hansen of Blacksburg, VA; two great-great-grandaughters, Kaylee Kornbrekke of Unionville and Samantha Anderson of Coventry. The family would like to recognize and offer special thanks to the staff at John Dempsey Hospital who provided excellent and compassionate care for her during her last illness. Her family will receive friends Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 1:30 - 2:00 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. A celebration of her life will follow at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Farmington Community Chest, PO Box 60, Farmington CT 06034, or Farmington Library Friends Remembrance Fund, 6 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT 06032.
