Bill, Brian & David...My deepest sympathies on the loss of your Mother. I was unable to attend the services and just want you to know I've thought of her, and all of you, so much this past month. Bernie stopped in at my Mom's 80th birthday party several years ago...we were all so excited to see (and hear!) her. (My brother, Tommy, does the BEST Bernie Walters immitation!). I am sure there are countless people who smile when they think of Bernie or hear her name. Your loss is huge, but I pray that your many memories of her love and support keep your spirits up. She was quite a lady...and my first employer. Yup, paid me a whopping 50 cents/hr! Take good care. Your former babysitter, Mary (Frances).

To all Bernie's special family - Bernie was the most loving, generous & giving woman that we ever had the good fortune to be related to and be around. She opened her heart & home to Fred, Jenna, AJ & I on so many holidays and special family occasions. We have such great memories of her house, full of her kids, grandkids, friends & relatives all laughing & showing their love at her home while Bernie ran around making sure there was plenty of great food to eat. Even though we moved away from the area 8 years ago, we were lucky to spend some time with her in Maine in May and got some good hugs in -
Our hearts go out to everyone as we will miss a very special women.

Our prayers and thoughts are with Bernie's family
Bernie, a beautiful human being was a dear friend--Whenever I would call her to see how she was doing before I could even ask--she would say "How's Claire"?
Bernie was a charter member of the Husky Road Crew often being the life of the party. Her genuine warmth and great sense of humor made her an immediate hit with our entire crew.
We will miss her and the "Crew" will not be the same without her but we know she is in loving and caring hands where I feel sure she will be recruiting new fans for her beloved Huskies.

God Bless her

You are really blessed to have had such a beautiful person in your life. Bernie loved Family first and always wanted to be doing things with her Family and Friends. Eddie & I have gone on numerous U-Conn Women's basketball trips with Bernie and her good friend, Donna Kupernick. We've been out to eat, to baseball games---she just loved living. What a beautiful person whom I know will be very much missed by all who knew her. We'll be looking for you at the games, Bernie. Keep cheering on those U-Conn girls with us.
