Leslie,
Growing up as a neighbor of the Lapuk family in West Hartford, I saw Bernie, in uniform, as bigger than life. Hearty laugh, warm hugs with a twinkle in his eye, I am so sorry that light has dimmed. My condolences to you and Michelle.

Bernie and I grew up together on Garfield St;were in the Boy Scouts and Omega Delta and went off to the University of Miami after the war as roommates. We will all miss him.

Leslie, We were so sorry to hear about Bernie's death. His personality and sense of humor were bigger then life.
