My condolences to all of Peppy's family. We were first cousins but of different generations. My father, Nathan (Naftuly) Rothstein, was a younger brother of Peppy's father, Charlie. My part of the family moved from Hartford to California in 1945, where I was raised. I next saw Peppy when she had young children, and only once more, in Florida, where I was visiting my sister Ruth Rothstein Morse (1921-2007). We spent an evening sharing information about the Rothsteins in the early 2000s. Peppy's wonderful mother helped take care of me when I was of pre-school age and my own mother was hospitalized in 1943 and 1944.

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing mom. To quote another mom .. "not everyone gets a mother as this" It didn´t take long to be in her presence to feel how special she was. Peppy was proof that her trials built her character , her wisdom and appreciation of what she did have and didn´t have, to raise 3 children. She cherished the importance of memorable events and family first. I did not have the years you had with your mom but there she was for me at times to see what a mom was there for in our adult years . She lives through you , all that " good stuff" and will never be truly absent in your lives. What " A Lady she was"

I worked at Naylor School with Peppy. She was a very nice person and lived a very busy, long life.
