Beverly A. SINGER

SINGER, Beverly A. (Smith) Beverly A. (Smith) Singer, entered into eternal life at the age of 75 on Sunday (July 18, 2010) in Enfield surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of 51 years to Robert J. Singer and daughter of the late Harold A. and Lillian (Blake) Smith. Beverly was born on April 30, 1935 in Middletown and had resided in Enfield for the past 47 years. Prior to retiring in 1999 Bev was employed for 26 years by U.S. Specialty in Enfield. A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother her main focus in life was caring for her family and home. Her greatest joy was time spent with loved ones especially during the holidays and special occasions. Besides her husband, Robert she is survived by her three loving children; Kimberly Singer (Taylor) of Windsor Locks, Lori Mell of Wilbraham, MA and Christopher Singer of Ashford, her four beloved grandchildren; David Mell, Emily Mell, Amberly Singer-Scully and Nicholas Singer. She is also survived by two sisters; Janet Podgorski of Guilford and Lorraine Erickson of Canton, two brothers; Harold Smith and Phillip Smith both also of Canton along with many nieces and nephews. Bev was predeceased by her parents and step sister; Barbara Kimberlee. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday (July 22, 2010) from 10-12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service with Fr. George Vellaplackil officiating at 12 p.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Burial will be in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
