Dear Delois and family It is with my deepest sympathy, that I respond to this guest book. Billy was truly a man of God. I was a student of Billy's in Evangelism and also taught Sunday school under his leadership. God used him to manifest a gift that I had harbored. As you go thru, remember the song you sing so well "No Cross, No Crown" surely God has given Billy his crown. May your comfort and pease be in the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. Much love.

My heart grieves with you. My prayers are with you, even though I cannot be there in person. You are the most loving, giving, caring family that I've had the pleasure to meet in my life, and may that love, the memories, and your strong faith in the Lord help you through these times.

I worked with Billy Powers in the First Cathedral/First Baptist Church of Hartford Sunday School Department for the past 14 years. He was an excellent mentor and administrator. He taught me how to love teaching Sunday School. When Billy told a story or taught a lesson, it came alive. I could almost imagine being in the situation. I could literally see the story. Because of Billy's example, I tried to disciple myself to insure that I was always giving my best as a Christian and as a Sunday School teacher. Billy was truly a solider for the Lord and as the old saying goes "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away". Billy's influence will be felt for many years to come in my life and teaching ministry. Thank you Powers Family for being so unselfish and sharing your God given gift with me and my family.
