1992 - 2021

Brian Joseph Barry, 29, beloved son of Barbara Barry of West Hartford and Kevin Barry of Colchester, passed away, finding peace, on Sunday September 12th, 2021. Brian was born in Hartford, CT on March 4th, 1992 and grew up in Rocky Hill. Brian enjoyed cooking as he was an accomplished chef working in many CT establishments. Brian had a deep love for music and song writing, playing both drums and guitar. Brian also had a passion for reading and was a very creative writer. In high school Brian competed in track, cross country and wrestling. He was also a great swimmer and lifeguard. Brian completed two years at Middlesex Community College and continued to The University of Hartford where he studied biochemistry and mathematics. Along with his parents, Brian leaves behind the love of his life Samantha LeBlond, his brother Kevin Francis Barry and his wife Samantha and their son Jackson, his sister Kathleen Barry and partner Oscar Uribe. He also leaves behind many beloved family members including aunts, uncles and cousins. Brian was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Phyllis and Joseph Mullock and fraternal grandparents Marilyn and Francis Barry. "Brian, beyond all your many intellectual and creative talents, you will be sorely missed by your family and friends as you were the smile that could light up our hearts. We love you more than you could know. Rest in peace our cherished Son and Brother." Funeral services for Brian will be held Friday, September 17 at 11`:00 a.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday 4pm to 7pm at Newington Memorial. Brian will be lovingly laid to rest privately at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
