KOZICKI, Brian R.
Brian R. Kozicki, 46, of Manchester, died unexpectedly Saturday, (August 18, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Brian was born October 25, 1965 in Manchester, son of Valerie (Warner) Thompson of Bolton and the late John W. Kozicki Sr., and had lived most of his life in Manchester. He was a 1983 Graduate of Howell Cheney Technical High School and was Owner/Operator for over 18 years of Buried Under Comics in Manchester. Brian played a major role in promoting literacy through comics and had donated many comic books to local schools. He was an avid Disc Golf Player, he loved Ten Pin Bowling and had been a Guest Speaker at Manchester Community College on numerous occasion. In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother William F. Kozicki and his wife Sherry of Coventry, his sister Kristen L. Poirier and her husband Michael of Tolland; sister-in-law Mary E. Kozicki of Willington; two nephews, Austin Kozicki and Joshua Kozicki, two nieces, Anyssa Poirier and Gabrielle Poirier, and many close friends. Brian was predeceased by a brother John W. Kozicki Jr. and step-father Roy M. Thompson.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 940 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT 06611 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
