MYERS, Bruce G. Bruce G. Myers, "Poppy", 79, beloved husband of Diane (Bienkowski) Myers of Broad Brook, died Tuesday (November 17, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY on Jan. 20, 1930, son of the late, George M. and Cauthene (Kinner) Myers he had lived in Enfield before moving to Broad Brook 34 years ago. Bruce was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and had been employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft of East Hartford, Boutin Paving of Broad Brook, KF Brick of South Windsor and Mal Tool and Engineering of South Windsor. He enjoyed archery, bow hunting, fishing, golf, camping at Sun Valley in Stafford and was an avid New York Yankee's fan and Washington Redskins. In addition to his wife, of 37 years, Diane he leaves his children, Debbie Polczynski and her husband, Leroy of Vermont, Billie-Joe Heston of Arizona, Nancy Beaulieu and her husband, Michel of Windsor Locks, and Richard R. Hebert II and his wife, Lisa of East Windsor; grandchildren, Justin Tallman, Richard Hebert III, Michael and his wife, Heather Beaulieu, Sean Beaulieu, Jason and LeeAnn Polczynski and Alissa "Boo-Boo" Hebert; a great granddaughter, Logan Tallman; his mother-in-law, Blanche Bienkowski of South Windsor; brothers-in-law,John Bienkowski and his wife, Kathy of South Windsor, Raymond Bienkowski and his wife, Jan of Manchester, Paul and Kathy Bienkowski of South Windsor and three nephews, one niece and many friends who he loved and included as part of his family. A granddaughter, Erika Rose Hebert, predeceased him. A graveside service will be held, Saturday, 11 a.m., at Wapping Cemetery, Oakland Road, South Windsor.His family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.
