Camille Pelletier Obituary

Camille Joseph Pelletier, 90, of East Hartford, loving husband of over 42 years of Margaret (McLaughlin) Pelletier, passed away peacefully with his caring wife by his side at his home on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Born in Frenchville, Maine on June 11, 1928, a son of the late Eddie and Marie (Cyr) Pelletier, he had been a resident of East Hartford for the past 65 years. Camille was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Camille grew up working on his father's potatoe farm, and off seasons, worked for numerous people throughout the town. After serving in the U.S. Army, Camille moved to Connecticut and worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He left there and attended schools for electronics and watchmaking. After learning his new trade, he began working at Arrow Hart Manufacturing in Hartford where he was employed for 28 years prior to his retirement in 1984. Camille was very talented and a "Jack of all trades" as he was an inventor, builder and a repairman. He will be remembered by most for always saying "I am not a professional, I am a perfectionist". Camille is survived by his beloved wife Margaret; a brother, Lionel Pelletier and his wife, Georgette, of Andover; six sisters, Theresa Lavoie of West Hartford, Cecile Mulherin of Manchester, Priscille Fortin of Windsor Locks, Rita Pelletier of Bristol, Marie Rose Bouley and her husband, Edward, of Vermont, Irene Bouchard of Madawaska, ME; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Pelletier and Claire Pelletier both of Madawaska, ME, Theresa Pelletier of New York; a special friend who was thought of as family, Mohamed and his wife, Marie, and their two sons, Omar and Jamal, all of Springfield, MA; his dear caregiver, Harriet; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with his parents, Camille was predeceased by four brothers, Rosaire Pelletier and George Pelletier both of Madawaska, ME, Roland Pelletier and Claude Pelletier both of Frenchville, ME; a sister, Lucille Pare of Enfield; a sister-in-law, Dorella (Lavoie) Pelletier-Thibodeau of New Brunswick, Canada; and a brother-in-law, Alcide Lavoie of West Hartford. Funeral service will be Saturday (January 26, 2019) at 10 am from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Harford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning (January 26, 2019) from 9 – 10 am.
