Dad, today makes 3 years that I have not been able to hug, kiss or talk to you. I miss your old and funny stories. I miss our talks about absolutely nothing. I miss planning the holidays with you and trying to figure out what we should get the kids for Christmas. I miss giving you your shape ups and making your plates for dinner. I miss you calling me your baby and saying hey `kiddio´. I miss you walking around the house late at night and yelling at the TV..lol. The kids miss you, mom misses you, your whole family misses you. God I wish you were still here. Rest peacefully dad...I will always love you.

My sincere condolences to Carl's family and friends. I was Carl's classmate at HPHS and my brother played with the Soul Choppers which gave me the opportunity to closely experience the workings of a group
of very talented musicians. I remember The Galaxy Room, The Hullabaloo, Governor's Footguard, Riverside and Mountain Park's like they were yesterday. I was 15 which my parents deemed too young to attend when the band played The Apollo multiple times. I regret that but at every chance I would help Skeeky set up his kit and then sit off stage to watch his every move, which practically taught me how to play. Of course all the while listening to everything that the band was playing.
I aspired to play the Baritone Sax in the band under Tony's tutelage but tragedy precluded that dream. So now Tony, Skipper and Skeeky will be
a trio in the heavenly kingdom. May God bless you all with good health and longevity.

Carl Colbert was my Father n Law but was much more than that to me. He was more like my real father. He always kept it with me and he constantly reminded me that he was happy I married his daughter Carrie. He was and awesome grandfather and father. He wasn’t a big man but he carried himself like a giant. He was a true alpha male who loved his family and I’m a much better man for knowing him. I will miss him dearly.
