Carmela D'Amato Obituary
Carmela "Connie Vignone" L. D'Amato, 86, of Granby, wife of the late Archangelo D'Amato passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford she lived in Bloomfield for 62 years before moving to Granby last year. All of her career she was a vocalist for Archie D'Amato Associates, she sang with the Bobby Kay Orchestra and later with Billy Rowland and even had her own group "The Electric Company" In her free time she enjoyed watching tennis, playing BINGO and going to the casino. She loved animals especially her parrot "Holiday" and she was very fond of dogs. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene A. Buckland of Granby; a granddaughter, Amanda Melrose and her husband Stephen of Granby; a great granddaughter, Peyton; and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Family and friends may gather Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 9AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM, at St. Timothy Church, West Hartford.
