Carol Labonte Obituary

Carol Ann (Oppe) Labonte, 62, of Sky St., Enfield, beloved wife for 26 years to Jerome "Jerry" Labonte, Sr., passed away with beauty and grace on Thursday, (June 6, 2002) at her residence surrounded by her family. Born on July 26, 1939 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Georgia (Tyrrell) Oppe. A longtime Suffield resident, she was a graduate of Suffield High School and has been a resident of Enfield for 26 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She is survived by her loving children, Bonnie DePino and her husband Robert of Springfield, MA, Lisa Hickey and her husband David of Darien, Jerome Labonte, Jr. and his wife Carol of Orange, TX, Debra Mooney of Stafford Springs, Philip Labonte and his wife Mary of Ledyard, Josette Forstmann and her husband Dean of Hebron, Christina Collette and her husband Tyler of Worcester, MA, Adele Labonte and her husband Paul Hipsky of Willington, and Donald "Matt" Liddell, Jr., of Enfield; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was a director of investment services for 30 with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield, MA, retiring in 1999. Funeral services for Mrs. Labonte will be held on Monday, June 10, with a processional at 10:15 a.m., from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 9, 6-9 p.m.
