Carol A. Nicoletta

1934 - 2023

Obituaries do not allot enough words to properly narrate the remarkable life of Carol A Nicolletta (Miller) - born in Waterbury, CT on June 18th, 1934 and passed away gracefully on December 10th, 2023 surrounded by family. Carol cherished nothing more than her time spent with family, traveling, naming her cars, sunflowers, and a good ole Hershey bar. If you were lucky enough to cross paths with Carol, you instantly knew how kind hearted and selfless she was. She extended her compassionate nature throughout her career as a nurse at Connecticut Valley Hospital, followed by the dermatology office. No matter what, she always maintained a positive outlook on life and her sense of humor. Carol will be reunited with her son, Marc Nicolletta; daughter, Kristi Nicolletta, and life companion, William Stewart. Her absence will ache in the hearts of her daughter, Katie Nicolletta; grandson, Zack Nicolletta, and wife, Ruth Nicolletta; grandson, Torrey Nicolletta; granddaughter, Meghan Nicolletta, and husband, Jamal Howard; honorary daughters, June and April Mckary; as well as all of her extended family and loving friends. Carol had an eclectic sense of style but also loved wearing black, so please forgo uncomfortable traditional funeral attire for her services. Wear something that you would have worn to go out with Carol or something that reminds you of her.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec 22, at 10am in St. Mary Cemetery, Portland. There are no calling hours. The Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main Street, Portland is in charge of arrangements.
