Carol Rogers

Carol Jean (Allegretti) Rogers, 66, of Cromwell, beloved wife and best friend of William H. Rogers for 48 years, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 surrounded by her family at Middlesex Hospital after a long illness. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Phyllis (Simper) Allegretti of Cromwell and the late Raymond Allegretti. Carol lived in Cromwell all of her life. She was a member of Saint John Church and employed at Cromwell High School where she was well loved by staff and students retiring in 2015 after 29 years. Carol loved being home with her family, talking on the phone and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her husband and mother, Carol is survived by 3 daughters, Tammy Marselli of Rocky Hill, Kelly Braun of Cromwell and Carrie Weeks of Haddam; 5 brothers, Raymond Allegretti , Jr. (MaryAnn) of FL, James Allegretti (Debbie) of Cromwell, Gene Allegretti (Diane) of Cromwell, David Allegretti (Patty) of Rocky Hill and Michael Allegretti (Evelyn) of FL; 6 sisters, Shirley Stevens of Cromwell, Betty Aresco (Benny) of Middletown, Rose Thomas (Frank) Cromwell, Debbie Ghezzi (Ronald) of Middletown, Linda Allegretti of Middletown and Bernie Balestro (Dan) of Portland; 6 grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, Kailey, Summer, Meriel, and Avery and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Farrell of the Connecticut Oncology Group for his loyalty and dedication to Carol over the last 10 years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 10:00 am at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.
