Catherine B. Lynch

Catherine Barbara (Swift) Lynch, 90, of New Britain, CT. was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Francis Timothy Lynch, on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Catherine was born to the late Harold and Ellen (McKeon) Swift in New Britain and lived there most of her life. She attended Chamberlain Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High, and New Britain High. Catherine worked at Aetna and G. Fox as a keypunch operator before and after she raised her children. Her retirement days were filled with the joy of helping to raise her grandchildren. Catherine leaves her son Joseph Lynch, daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Frank Stenta, Nora and Carl Lund, Cathy and Will Jepson, and Marguerite and Mack Babin. "Ma" leaves grandchildren Katy and Neal Sakash, Michael Stenta and Megan Stanton, Philip and Hannah Lund, Carolyn and Tony LaRosa, Laura Stenta and Andrew Renehan, Emily Jepson, John and Alison Babin, James and Marilou Babin, and Jeffery and Brenda Babin and their children. She also leaves nephew John Rudy and nieces Patty DelBiondo, Barbara Bukowski, Ann Cote, and Rosemary Rubinstein. Catherine was predeceased by siblings Veronica Payne, Agnes Rudy, and Harold Swift. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd. New Britain at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jerome Home, Recreation Department, 975 Corbin Avenue, New Britain, CT.
