Chad Rosenberg Obituary

Chad Rosenberg was born on June 12, 1985 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, CT. He died unexpectedly in the prime of his life at home on April 6, 2015 at the age of 29. Despite his untimely death he accomplished so many wonderful things in his short life. Chad graduated from Manchester High School in 2003 with high honors and was subsequently accepted to UConn where he graduated with a double bachelor's degree in psychology and political science. He was deeply respected and beloved by his fraternity brothers in Tau Kappa Epsilon who elected him president for three consecutive terms while he maintained a perfect 4.0 and 3.93 grade point average respectively. To say that his feeling for his fellow fraternity "brothers" was mutual would be a huge understatement. As president, he spearheaded as well as participated in many philanthropic and charitable events on campus and elsewhere. Chad was in the process of applying to various Ph.D. programs when he suddenly passed. Sadly, he will never be able to realize his dream of someday becoming a doctor. He was a friend to all and always made time to lend an ear to those who were struggling and less fortunate than he. Chad was truly the happiest when he was helping others. He had a special gift for making people laugh with his quick wit and keen sense of humor. He volunteered in numerous events for charity even during his high school years. Particularly dear to his heart was a project for inner city youth where he was paired as a mentor and role model with a teen whose father was incarcerated. He is survived by his mother, grandmother, and only brother Cody who are broken hearted over his passing. Chad is also survived by his half- brother Kyle, his father, grandfather, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins especially Andy Pizzoferrato with whom he had a special bond as well as a host of loving friends. A special mention is also in order to his dear friend Ashley Soltoski and his long- time friends Dr. Joseph Guzzardi, Brendan Few as well as Patricia Mosher from the Church of Christ in Manchester where he was a member and worshipped. He called Pat his "special angel" here on earth. A special mention is also given to his students who he taught and adored at Coventry High School where he served as a substitute teacher. He was fondly known by them as "Mr. R". He will be forever loved and missed until eternity. A memorial service will be held at the Manchester Church of Christ, 595 Tolland Turnpike, Manchester on Friday at 7:00PM. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

I only met you today at the Pavilions, but I wanted to express my Deepest sympathy for the loss of your son. No one can explain why these things happen; Nothing but Pain left for the loved ones behind. I was so sad & heart broken by your telling my sister & I what happened. I hope it comforts you to know that even myself as a stranger cares about what happened in your life. We will see you on April 22nd.
Love,

Rest in peace Chad. We shared a lot of laughs and you never backed down from a battle of wits. Sometimes this got you in trouble but your smile was so infectious it over came all else. We'll miss you man.

My heartfelt sympathy to Sue and Cody. I watched both Chad and Cody grow from little boys to amazing young men with a mom that would stop the world for them. I'm deeply saddened that God has chosen Chad at such a young age, but it's clear his plan is in need of a strong, smart, funny, caring man. Sue and Cody, all the wonderful memories will guide you through these most difficult times. My love and prayers to you and your family.
