LANG, Charles P. Charles P. Lang, 83 of Plantsville, formerly of North Haven and Madison, passed away Friday, (December 22, 2006) after an extended illness. He was born June 22, 1923 in Wentworth, MO to the late Charles and Angeline Lang. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of almost 61 years, Margie of North Haven; his son and his wife Dr. Patrick and Becky Lang of South Deerfield, MA; four daughters: Sally Cavallaro of North Haven; Sandra Dembski of Torrington; Janie and her husband Anthony Maione of Quincy, MA; Linda and her husband Robert Bankowski of North Haven; six grandchildren, Peter Starkes, Jennifer Hulse, Kevin Stevenson, Rachael, Vanessa and David Lang; three great-grandchildren, Betsy, Chip and Jane Hulse; two brothers, Lloyd and James Lang; one sister, Mary Jane Grundler; along with other relatives and many friends. Charles attended the University of Missouri before entering the U. S. Army April 1, 1943. He served during World War II in the 1st Fighter Wing throughout Europe including Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. Charles retired from The Hartford as an Executive after 35 years of service. Friends may visit the family 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 28 at St. Margaret Church in Madison with Military Honors to follow in West Cemetery, Madison. The Lang family wishes to express a special heart felt thank you to all the care givers at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville for their exceptional care of Charles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Association; South Central Connecticut Chapter; 2911 Dixwell Avenue Suite 104; Hamden, CT. 06518. Swan Funeral Home of Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Although I have not been at ARCC that long, I know that Charles has touched everyone's lives there, and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
