Born in Brockton, Ma., he was the son of the late Charles Nelson Reynolds, Sr., and Helen (Foley) Reynolds. In 1989 his team at UTC, in conjunction with NASA, received the prestigious Collier Award in Washington, D.C. Chuck was a communicant of St. Luke's Church in Ellington for 42 years, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister and treasurer. He was also a communicant of St. James Church in Manchester and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Seekonk, MA. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his kindness, compassion, and gentle nature. He is survived by his children, Patricia Nelson and her husband Jeffery of Manchester, Thérèse Gauthier and her husband Gregory of Seekonk, MA, and Terry Reynolds and his wife Lori of New Fairfield, CT, his grandchildren, Angelina Margaret and Timothy Charles Nelson, Patricia Carol Gauthier, and John Charles and Megan Elizabeth Reynolds; and his cousin Eileen Dettman of Oberlin, OH. Chuck's family would like to offer a special heartfelt gratitude to George Hirko for his gift of friendship and compassion to Chuck over the last two years and to Josephine Boateng for treating him like he was her family. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (June 20th) at 10:15 a.m. from the John F. Thank you for being a wonderful uncle and a great friend to my parents. I still remember you as my math tutor. You were also a trustworthy moral compass. You will always be remembered and loved.
