To the Roy family, I am saddened to hear of Clem's passing. I worked at the State Capitol for many many years, and I can never remember a time when upon seeing Clem, that we did not shake hands, and talk. In my case that was everyday. He had a big heart and a quick wit. Since my retirement I had lost track of Clem, but always knew that I had a friend a phone call away. My father in law has a favorite saying that says, " It's nice to be important, but its more important to be nice." That was Clem Roy in a nut shell. I keep telling my daughters that I know to many people, boy am I glad Clem was one of them, I will miss him.

To Clem's family;
He would show up for work at the Capitol, always impeccably dressed in stylish attire. It was natural for him. It was also natural for him to be genuinely nice to other people, always taking the time to stop and give a sincere greeting. He treated everyone with the same kindness. From the man who pushed the broom, to the Governor - it was the same. And that's hard to find these days. Thank you Clem for who you were. We are all better people because we knew you. Rest in Peace friend.

Condolences to the Roy Family. "Clem" was well respected for his knowledge and care about his fellow man. A visit to the legislative office building, at any given time, was not complete without a conversation with "Clem" regarding developments related to Hartford; The "Big Guy" was always concerned. Rest In Peace My Friend.
