Concetta M. Haze

1922 - 2021

Concetta "Connie" M. Haze of Southington, formerly of New Britain, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2021 at the Summit of Plantsville at the age of 99. Connie was born in Pittston, PA on March 23, 1922 to the late Gaetano and Marianna (Belcastro) Mirisola and was one of seven children. She graduated from Pittston High School and then moved to New Britain and worked initially at Fafnir bearing where she met her husband, Henry. They were soon married and raised their two sons, Alan and Richard (Rick). She worked in retail in New Britain and then was employed by Burritt Bank, retiring after nineteen years of service. Connie was an excellent cook, often sharing her delicious Italian dishes with family and neighbors. Connie was a lifetime Yankees fan and watched their games well into her nineties. She also adored Frank Sinatra and was able to see him twice early in his career at shows in New York. Later in retirement, she crocheted doll clothes for her great-granddaughter and great nieces. She made and donated many baby blankets and sweaters to hospitals and charities. Connie was predeceased by her husband Henry, son Rick, and her granddaughter, Maura. She was also predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters. She leaves her son Alan of Arizona, grandson Jeremy, great-granddaughter Morgan, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who all loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial for Connie will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St, New Britain, CT 06053. Please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Britain. Masks are strongly encouraged for attendees.
