Constance Colaresi

1918 - 2016

Constance "Connie" (Pettinato) Colaresi, 98, of New Britain, passed away peacefully November 19, 2016. Connie was born April 8, 1918 in New Britain, daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Napolitano) Pettinato. Connie enjoyed working at Birmbaum where she was a sales clerk for many years before employment at New Britain General Hospital, from where she retired in 1972. Retirement aside, she continued working at JC Penny in West Hartford until she was 82 years young. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assis Ladies Guild and choir for many years. Connie leaves two sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Lucille Colaresi and John and Martha Colaresi; grandchildren Jennifer Polsky and her husband David, Kristin Colaresi and John "J.R." Colaresi; great-grandchildren Nathaniel "Nate" Polsky and Joshua "Josh" Polsky and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased be her loving husband of 62 years Everett F. Colaresi. The Colaresi family would like to thank the staff at Middlewoods of Newington, Connie's home for ten years, for giving her a great quality of life and the staff at Westfield Care in Meriden for their compassion and care in her final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Connie on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 9:00AM at Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home followed by St. Francis of Assis Church, New Britain at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home, 205 S. Main Street, New Britain on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00PM.
