Daniel Robert Galovich

1958 - 2023

Daniel Robert "Danny" Galovich, 64, of Vernon passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hartford on June 3, 1958; a son of the late Stephen and Nancy (Lahue) Galovich. Danny was a skilled craftsman and talented carpenter. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting on the New England Patriots and UConn. Danny spent many memorable summers at the family home on Cape Cod. He will be remembered for his full of life personality and the ability to always have a good time.

Danny is survived by his siblings, Kathy Lynn McCullen and her husband Paul of Ellington, Stephen Michael Galovich and his wife Gail of Weston, FL, and Jeffrey Joseph Galovich and his wife Barbra of Enfield; his many nieces and nephews, Jason Materkowski and his wife Danielle, Stephen Galovich, David Galovich, Alyssa Galovich, Ryan Galovich, and Jamie Alana Galovich; his great-nephew, Grayson Materkowski, his great-niece, Harper Materkowski. He also leaves to mourn his passing his auntie and godmother, Phyllis Richardson and her husband Leslie, his uncle and godfather, Richard Galovich; his former wife Rebecca Zicko as well as many cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Wapping Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Danny's memory may be made to Connecticut Renewal Team, Attn.
