David W. Camarata

David W. Camarata of New Britain, CT passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 after a long illness which he fought valiantly. David attended local schools. David captained the Sports Page Café softball team, winning two Golden Kielbasa Championships. He also played on the New Britain Barons Dek-Hockey team. David loved music and was lead singer of his beloved band Azrock. He was a life long fan of the Boston Red Sox and especially The Monkees. David leaves his loving and devoted mother Pamela Kragiel with whom he made his home along with his devoted sister Alisa Camarata and her son and his godson Michael Nadeau. He also leaves his dear sister Juliet Camarata Scarlett and brother-in-law Gregg Scarlett and their son Gregory Scarlett all of New Britain who lovingly cared for him and his sister Susan Camarata Gores and her husband Steve and their daughter Pamela of Jupiter, Florida. He also leaves his maternal aunt Nancy Kragiel and uncle Lawrence Kragiel and his wife Donna of Newington. He was predeceased by his father John Camarata and his two grandmothers who loved him very much, Irene Kragiel and Mary Zooleck. The family would like to thank his life-long best friend David Gallo for his help in caring for David during his illness. There are no calling hours and arrangements are private. David loved his many pets during his life and will be missed by Gracie the St. Bernard. Donations can be made to the CT Humane Society, Newington, CT in his memory.
