I just learned of David's passing and am greatly saddened. I worked as a law clerk with him at Rome, Case, Kennelly & Klebanoff while I attended UConn Law. He was a great teacher and person, and I really appreciated the interest he took in me as a person and as a trainee in the law. I will never forget that kindness.

I know it's almost a year since the passing of my lawyer and friend David Jaffe. My sincere sympathies and condolences to his wife and family please forgive me for not expressing in a more timely manner. I got to know Mr David over a 10 yr period due to the premature loss of my 17 year old son. David was a great champion and leader for those who do not have a voice and are not many times thought worthy. He's been pressing on my mind but the Lord always assured me he is at home with my son and the Lord. So dear sweet Ms Jodi stay encouraged and know we all will be reunited with our love ones a day soon to come.

Dear Jaffe Family,
I was shocked to just learn of David's passing. He and I clerked together in New Haven in 1980-1981, and we stayed in touch over the years.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. He was a good man, and a good attorney. My condolences for your loss. Shalom. John Montalbano

I worked with David and am so saddened by his passing. I will never forget his kind gesture to my late husband when he was starting dialysis. It spoke volumes as to the kind of person David was. He was a brilliant attorney who truly was an advocate for his clients. My sincerest condolences to his family. Take pleasure in knowing he touched the hearts of many.

I was so saddened to learn of David's passing. As a former colleague, I worked closely with him for several years, and was his friend for many more. He was unswerving in his passion for civil rights and fairness for all under the law.

However, what I will remember most about David was his big heart and kindness to others. He was always willing to help those in need, both professionally and personally.

I will also remember his devotion to the Yankees and UCONN, which resulted in many entertaining and friendly arguments.

My sincerest condolences to David's family. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
