David Moser Obituary

Dr. David W. Moser, 83, of Rocky Hill, husband of the late Amelia Teresa (DiCioccio) Moser, died Tuesday (January 22, 2002). He was born August 28, 1918, in Rocky Hill and was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Oran Moser and was a lifelong resident of Rocky Hill. Dr. Moser was a practicing physician in Rocky Hill for over 53 years, retiring several years ago. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Dr. Moser was the first mayor of Rocky Hill, he served three terms. He was a longtime member and Deacon at the Rocky Hill Congregational Church. He formerly served in the capacity of police and fireman surgeon in Rocky Hill, medical director for several Rocky Hill convalescent homes as well as school physician and Town of Rocky Hill health officer. He is survived by a step-daughter, Deborah Hicks and her husband, Vincent of East Windsor; a step-son, Michael Dupuis and his wife, Lisa of Monson, MA; a step-daughter, Rhonda Mann and her husband, Al of Rocky Hill; a son, Jack Moser and his wife, Beverly of Glenmont, NY; a daughter, Marjorie Quinn of Ellsworth, ME and daughter, Wendy Hofstetter and her husband, Hans of Gualala, CA; a brother-in-law, Frank DiCioccio, Jr. of Wethersfield; grandchildren, Nicole Dupuis, Carlene Dupuis, Dawn Hensel, Matthew Hensel, Elizabeth Hicks, Victoria Hicks, Francis Aszklar and Melissa Aszklar and her companion, Danny Jones; and a great granddaughter, Emma Jacqueline Jones; and a niece, Marilyn Moser of Newington. Funeral service will be Friday, 10 a.m. at the Rocky Hill Congregational Church, 805 Old Main Street, Rocky Hill, with the Rev. Jonathan Dean-Lee officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at the St. Patricks, King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Calling hours are TODAY, 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
