My forever friend...I think of you often, and always with a smile. You gave me so many winderful gifts; the ones I cherish the most are those which I cannot hold. I miss seeing you, but you are always with me...in my heart, and my soul. You are my sister in my heart - then, now, and forever. I Love You!

I feel so blessed to have had such an amazing cousin and friend as Debi. Growing up, I always looked up to her and felt such a special connection. I loved the fact that we were both "Michelle Courtney". I looked forward to celebrating our birthdays together each year and having our Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes. Thanksgiving and Christmas were a time to catch up and share secrets and moments in our lives. I loved having Debi come into my classroom and work on fun projects with students as well as join us on our field trip to the pumpkin patch. I miss Debi everyday. I miss picking up the phone and telling Debi things in my life only she would understand. As I drive home from work, I always seem to glance at the clock and it is 4:17. I always smile and tell Debi that I love and miss her! I will always hold Debi close to my heart and treasure the amazing woman she was. I love you Debi!

Debi,
It has almost been a year since you left us here on Earth and you are still in my constant thoughts. I miss you! I think of all of those great times at Christmas and other holidays when we would gather at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was always a time for us to catch up with each other and talk about the special things that were happening in our lives. I treasure those conversations and times spent together. I miss your smile and your laugh. You are forever loved. Your memory will always be with me.
I love you!!!

Her Smile

Though her smile is gone
Forever and her hand
We cannot touch.

We still have so many
Memories of the one we love
So much

Her memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part.
God has her in His keeping.
We have her in our heart

Sadly missed but never forgotten

Love,

Judy

There is nothing more emotionally painful in ones life than losing a child. As a parent you reflect back on the joy of watching this small miracle of life grow and develop into a person with their own special style and personality. You recall them taking their first steps, losing that first tooth and working through the difficulties that accompany every teenager as they grow up. All of a sudden your beautiful baby appears before you in a gown, dressed for her senior prom, and realize she is now a young lady. She then meets the love of her life; her soul mate. You walk her down the isle and are so happy and excited to watch her start a new chapter in her life. Debi was never happier than when she was with Todd. They were the perfect couple, complimenting each other so well in every way. It was during their marriage I discovered a woman with an incredible flair for design, style and class in both the way she (and Todd) decorated their home and the way she lived her life. Debi was truly a perfectionist in everything she did.

They say you really see a person's true strength and personality when they face adversity. In the six plus years she battled this terrible disease there were, of course, emotions, fear and lots of uncertainty. And while I know Todd saw her fear more than anyone else, Debi always projected an exceptional amount of determination and strong will to live - right to the very end - and she did it with dignity.

Debi, you will be in my heart and on my mind every day for the rest of my life. I am so blessed to have you as my daughter and love you more than you know.

To all of Deb's family
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Deb made my day brighter. Her sense of humor was wonderful and we would always laugh together during our visits. You all meant so much to her - know you made her time here on earth special. I will always remember her smile, her love of gardening and boating with Todd. Even at her darkest moments fighting this disease, she maintained her humor and style - even teaching Dr. Kluger the meaning of "cankles"! I will miss her. Nadine

Todd, we are so very sorry for the loss of Debi. It has been a long time since we have seen the two of you, but have always thought of you. I remember when Debi gave us the news of her cancer and how devastated she was, but had such positive attitude on fighting the battle. We have many years of memories of our time at Bit of Country and the friendship we had when you lived here. Debi had the most caring heart and was a wonderful person.

Our thoughts and prayers are with and her family!

With deepest sympathy,

Todd and to Deb's Mom and Dad: Deb was one of my most favorite patients. Her smile and mere presence was always a welcome part of my day!!! Deb showed such bravery and courage especially over the last several months. It was truely an honor to be part of her life! I wish I had the honor to know Deb under differnt circumstances, but I treasure the memories I have of caring for her. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers and my memories of Deb will forever be in my heart.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before because I know you are with us every morning, noon and night and that puts a smile on my face!
I'm not afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. They are tears of joy now knowing you are not suffering anymore.
I know when I am walking down the street, and you're on your mind;
You're walking only half a step behind me and that will bring me many years of comfort and joy.

Michelle was a lovely affable person with an incredibly optimistic zest for life. We were part of she and Todd's boating family and will sorely miss her presence.
